Inside Hagia Sophia, once a Cathedral then a Mosque it was changed to a Museum in 1934. It is now being changed back to a Mosque, no matter its purpose it’s a beautiful structure.

Another great place to visit that may not be anymore enjoyable soon.

I hope they will keep it open to the general public as per other Mosques. However, the feeling won’t be the same anymore.

Going up ramps or down stone stairs with bare feet doesn’t tempt me too much 🙂

They won’t lock it off it’s such an amazing attraction. May not be able to move around as freely though

Not sure I’ve been in a few Mosques as a tourist and can move around freely, but it’s not like going through a museum

I agree. I also like to visit mosques and I will return to Hagia Sophia with delight and respect for a place of worship, but it won’t be the same.
