Places I Love – Byron Bay

As another holiday draws to a close in Byron Bay, these are a few of the highlights. The most easterly point in Australia, Byron is known for its beautiful parks and beaches. It’s also known for the ever increasing population of rich yuppie posers, celebrities, wannabes and pretentious fashion options.

If you’re not a wannabe however Byron retains its charm with a variety of markets in the area, friendly locals, lots of outdoor activities. It also has the most “Friendliest Bar” in the world with fantastic people, traveller’s and live music. Hopefully someday not to far into the future I can make it my home too, totes 😉.

Places I Love – North Coast NSW

So driving up the North Coast of NSW and it’s been surfing at Cresent Head, boxing kangaroos, swimming with sharks, dodging wallabies, kingfisher rescue, banana funpark and some wild weather. Byron Bay tomorrow

Places I Love – Port Macquarie

Back to work in a few weeks so beforehand figure I’d check out northern NSW. The first stop is my hometown of Port Macquarie. With its amazing beaches and ocean rainforest, it’s also the home of Australian body boarding (my cuz was world champ) so is a great place to surf. I ran across friends from Sydney and it’s been a few quality days. Now heading north slowly towards Byron Bay

Places I Love – Sydney Harbour Camp Cove

Funny how things change overtime, this time last year I was driving the Manly Ferry… now content to watch it cruise by.

If you haven’t done it in a while or ever, check out Camp Cove and the north part of the Harbour, put you’d feet up then enjoy a beer.

Places I Love – Royal National Park Sydney

Figured I’d go for a drive today to the Royal National Park. First Garie Beach for a hike and view a bush regeneration project I worked on a few years ago. Then onto Wattamolla Beach for a small waterfall swim.
