Headed out of South Dakota passed the geographic centre of the United States and onto the Devil's Tower. America's oldest National Monument unfortunately I couldn't get a rock climbing pass so walked around it instead. The woods are full of aliens as detailed in Stephen Spielberg's documentary "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

I don't know whether it's genuinely eerie or if it's Stephen Spielberg's classic movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" but there is something strange about the the Devil's Tower. It sits alone in a flat landscape and when I went there I only had prairie dogs for company.
