Goreme Turkey

Had a tasty kebab after the pub last night and my mind turned to another place I ate tasty kebab. Goreme in Central Turkey with its ancient abandoned cities in the rocks The amazing tracks and walk through caves, towns underground, in the night relax and watch Whirling Dervishes.

Lighthouses

Working from home today I look at my lamp and my mind turns to lighthouses. Creepy looking lighthouses when I filter them in black and white. So hear are a few of my faves.

Oregan Coastline Cape Blanco
St Augustine Americas oldest city
Whitby home of Dracula (Bram Stoker)
Cape of Good Hope South Africa
Byron Bay (surf’s up dude)
Batumi Georgia on the Black Sea
Tabert Island Ireland
Point of Ayr Wales

Nashville

As I look at my recently acquired cowboy boot collection, purchased online during Covid Lockdown, my mind turns to Nashville. Getting drunk on Moonshine in a Honky-tonk and eating barbecue. Doing a tour of Ryman Auditorium, hanging at the CMA and watching Billy Ray Cyrus (the better Cyrus) live followed by line dancing. Will return there is so much more to do.

Antigua Guatemala

Walking the beach today I stubbed my toe so my mind turns to Antigua Guatemala. With its vista of views, markets, historic buildings and cobbled streets it’s another place I stubbed my toe. Be sure to check it out and if you get a chance roast a marshmallow at the nearby volcano.

Bryce Canyon

Working from home and about to head for a lunchtime jog my mind turns to Bryce Canyon. Not the best place to go for a jog but of you fancy a active hike and lots of crazy orange rock formations be sure to check it out.
