Santa Cruz California

This is Santa Carla home of the vampires from “Lost Boys”. If that sounds familiar it’s because the lead song was by Aussie legendary singers Jimmy Barnes and Michael Hutchens. Just as famous back home as that other Aussie rock band ACDC.

Ive been bitten by a vampire so before I turn I’ve decided to hurtle back to Las Vegas before heading back home, take advantage of the night. Figure I’d finish off with somewhere “cultural” in ending this adventure.

I’ll probably post something from Vegas but if not I’ll be doing some sort of update once I get back home. Hope you’ve enjoyed the road trip and hope to see you out there some night 🧛‍♂️

  1. Never been to Santa Cruz (in my home state, too!), but it does look gorgeous! Goes to show that there’s a lot more to explore in California than one might imagine. Enjoy Vegas (go wild!), and safe travels home!

  2. This is where I live! You captured some very beautiful images! Sad story about the last picture, the former La Bahia, it was allowed to deteriorate through benign neglect so it could be demolished to make way for a bigger building.

  3. Great pics of a wonderful spot. I grew up just north of the GGB, and we used to travel south to Santa Cruz to bodysurf in warmer water…. Enjoyed your whole trip
Good travels home. You probably drive through the Pasavcho Pass on the way back to Vegas. A famous song about it by Kate Wolf
