I spent a night in a bungalow under the volcano, but whether it was in the evening or the next morning it remained hidden in the mist, a shame. Its shape is so emblematic of the way one imagines a volcano.

Did the hike in the evening, stayed in a cabin about half an hour away by bus. It was an extraordinary experience

Beautiful area! we saw an eyelash viper in a tree there…the tour guide pointed it out and then told us how poisonous it was…yikes!

Totally agree, being an Aussie used to scary insects, spiders and snakes though it’s a little different in a jungle π

This looks a fabulous experience, this is something we would definitely take on, preferably without the large spiders π

It’s an amazing hike, there are plenty of bugs but being an Aussie I don’t care π
