Ahh the Marrickville Metro, its an iconic shopping experience serving the Inner West of Sydney since 1987. I was fortunate to experience it first in 1993 when dressed in a chicken suit I had the opportunity to open the first Franklin’s Big Fresh. My career may have spiralled since then but the Metro has always made an impression on me.
With an expansive car parking system, the Metro is easily accessible. It’s heralded shopping scene is the delight of any working class man to fashionista. The international food court is a mix of tasty treats from around the world and exemplifies the mix of people that live in the area . Last but not least is the delightful market experience with its collection of artisanal cheese, fresh fruit and veggies. Do yourself a favour next time your in the area drop into the Metro, you won’t be disappointed.
