As another holiday draws to a close in Byron Bay, these are a few of the highlights. The most easterly point in Australia, Byron is known for its beautiful parks and beaches. It’s also known for the ever increasing population of rich yuppie posers, celebrities, wannabes and pretentious fashion options.
If you’re not a wannabe however Byron retains its charm with a variety of markets in the area, friendly locals, lots of outdoor activities. It also has the most “Friendliest Bar” in the world with fantastic people, traveller’s and live music. Hopefully someday not to far into the future I can make it my home too, totes ๐.

Although I don’t categorise myself as a Hippie, I came to Cape Byron attracted by the prospect of seeing whales passing by. It wasn’t the right season, I didn’t see any whales, just the lighthouse and the Hippies. That’s fine.
