Kazakhstan has fascinated me in recent years, along with the other “Stan” countries of Central Asia. Borat aside, the place looks like an incredible blend of traditional and futuristic, and I’d love to venture over to check it out some day. Thanks for sharing!

It was the only Stan I managed and was in the winter so not peak season which I hear is amazing. It was nice and quiet and I was a bit of a novelty at the local pub as all the other expats were working there, not on holiday
