Can’t forget to post a photo of my hometown. This was taken during Australia’s recent bushfire season (which now seems so long ago). The sky is so orange because of the smoke on the Harbour during the crack of dawn. I’m on a ferry going under the Sydney Harbour Bridge with the Opera House in the distance.

Man, don’t the fires feel like an age ago! This is a beautiful and slightly heartbreaking shot.

It sure does the world has changed so quickly, come out of one tragedy into another one.

Yeah, back when wild fires seemed like our biggest problem. What a difference a day makes.

Was in Sydney for a few days in August 2004. We had miserable weather. But I remember thinking at the time that if I was back in my 20’s, and planning on heading off somewhere for a year or two, Sydney would win hands down. We absolutely loved it. Lots of Irish have made their way to Sydney.
Love the photos.
