Abandoned places are always stimulating for the imagination. I also liked those old abandoned Icelandic farms along the shoreline, the beams and the metal sheet, hard to imagine spending the endless and dark winters there.

There is plenty of unusual starting with some of the friendly locals. I really enjoy it there and want to go back

We also loved Iceland when we visited in 2008. That is another place I would like to get back to one day. Nice pics. (Suzanne)

There is plenty of abandoned about seemingly. I saw a lot more abandoned buildings just north of Reykjavik west coast. Stunning π
