I did a bit of research, and I didn’t realize how sacred Yew trees are and how often they were used in churchyard. So, thank you for your post as I learned a few things. Also, you might be right. This tree might have been there before the Abbey as some Yew trees have been found to be thousands of years old and The Muckross Abbey, was only founded in 1448. Only 1448 π
