I’ve returned to Australia and after 6 weeks in my home of Newtown Sydney, I have finally found an apartment to rent and am no longer homeless. While my Roam around the planet in 2019 has finally finished I aim to have new content out soon regarding travel around London and the USA. In the meantime an earlier re-blog of my trip to a truly unique place, the island of Haiti in 2012…..
And if you are wondering what I am up to now, no immediate adventure plans overseas, however, I have started on brand new job. I have changed careers from the Information Technology industry to a deckhand on Sydney Harbour ferries. I came to the decision that if I cant be traveling then it’s best to be in the tourist industry and what better way than to work on beautiful Sydney Harbour.
I’ll write about this career change in a future update as I hope this change becomes a success , in the meantime however back to Haiti and happy travels….
If you have been reading endlessroaming.com you are aware that I have been blogging about previous adventures across the USA as well as currently Roaming the globe in 2019. I have based myself in Lagos Portugal for the time being, rather than write about this which I intend to get to I thought Id cover some previous adventures, this time I’m writing about my roaming about Haiti in 2012.
Port Au Prince
At the time Id been in Central America for roughly two months (which Ill blog about at a later date) when I received a message from a friend to come and visit him in Haiti as I was in the region, Cancun Mexico to be exact. My knowledge of Haiti was limited to understanding that’s where Voodoo originated from based on the James Bond movie Live and Let Die, the movie incidentally was not shot on location…

This is crazy! I was writing a reflection post about a trip I took to Haiti a couple years ago and took a break to scroll through my feed–this just so happened to be the first post I see. Happy to see you enjoyed the country as much as I did!

Nice one, it really was an amazing experience and a privilege to get there as its a difficult place to travel. It would of been amazing to see prior to so much deforestation. Happy travels

Fingers crossed it works out but enjoying it so far. I wanted to travel again as soon as I got back but need to earn and figured the Harbour is a great way to do it
