In the meantime it’s back to the photo montages, highlights of Seattle, I’m now in Portland, just rented a car and headed to the Beer Fest in Bend Oregan. After that onwards for a 2 week roadtrip which will be made up as I go along

The Gum Wall. I remember going through and it felt dirty. I found myself walking in the middle squeezing myself inward trying to stay away from all the chewed gum.
Unplanned wandering often makes for the best journeys. I recently listened to an old episode of the Dirtbag Diaries podcast that chronicled a road trip two guys took in an van. They had no planned itinerary, but literally rolled the dice to determine which direction they would drive each day. At the end of their trip, it seemed they both got something much deeper out of the journey than just taking a more traditional road trip.
Every town I come across seems to have some sort of video arcade or something unique, zany and or retro. I enjoy travelling in the USA because of this, triggers memories of growing up and watching all those American tv shows, movies and toys i used to have in Australia. Its been amazing so far
