Great.
Some travelers think, I am not talking about You, that when visited one town, it is visiting the country. Yes, it is true indeed, but it has nothing to do with knowing the country inside. I have noticed this especially among those, who visit Helsinki, Finland.
Of course, I am glad that people visit Helsinki, but at the same time I am sad, that they do not have any idea about what Finland around Helsinki offers. For example, they have no idea, that when visiting the north, called Lapland, offers during the summer white nights with this I mean that sun never sets there. It is amazing experience. Cruising on some of our lakes onboard of historic steam ships, is a great experience. Visiting our unique, but small museums are forgotten. In Winter participating in a reindeer race not a ride, which is free for everybody and unique in the whole world, is once in the life time experience. Generally, it is not known that when hiking in the north, people hike among free roaming reindeers. I could give many examples, but these are enough.
Happy and safe travels.

Sure thing it takes time to see a place, visiting the capital or a major city doesn’t exactly mean that you have seen the country. Its better to travel around the region to get a better understanding of a nation though sometimes, unfortunately, there are time and money constraints. I’m starting to get a pretty good idea of what Portugal is about, I travelled here in 2017 and back again in 2019.
I guess money and time are important in seeing what a place has to offer but the adventurous spirit is, of course, what’s most important
Happy travels
